Rental Car Terms and Conditions
1. Driver's License Requirement:
The renter must present a valid and current driver's license from their home country. If the license is in a non-English language, an international driver's license in English is required in addition.
2. Rental Car Insurance:
The renter must provide proof of full automobile insurance coverage, which can be one of the following:
- An existing personal auto insurance policy that extends full (comprehensive and collision damage) coverage to the rental car.
- Proof of auto insurance coverage through a credit card.
- Proof of auto insurance coverage from a third-party insurance vendor. (iCarHire, Rental Cover, Bonzah)
3. Security Deposit:
A deposit will be held for the duration of the rental to cover incidental charges incurred during the rental period and will be released within 10 days after the return of the rental car, less any incidental charges incurred.
Deposit amounts vary according to the renter's credit score (check with your credit card issuer or AnnualCreditReport.com or call 1 877 322 8228 for your credit score)
- Super prime credit score (781-850): $500 deposit
- Prime credit score (661-780): $1,000 deposit
- Near prime credit score (601-660): $2,000 deposit
- Sub-prime credit score (501-600): $4,000 deposit
- Deep sub-prime credit score (<500): $8,000 deposit
4. Cancellation Policy:
- No fee if canceled 72 hours prior to the start date.
- 25% fee for cancellations made within 72 hours of the start date.
- 50% fee for cancellations within 24 hours of the start date.
5. Incidental Charges:
Additional charges may apply for:
- Cancellation fees, refueling, or recharging.
- Tolls, citations, and mileage overage.
- Insurance deductibles, rental extensions, and damages.
- Returning the car to a location not specified in the rental agreement.
- Activities such as racing or smoking in the car.
6. Other fees:
- Rentals beginning or ending outside the Lomita, CA location (24321 Pennsylvania Ave).
- Rentals starting or ending outside our normal business hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Sunday).
- Renters aged 21 to 24.
7. Insurance Options for Out-of-State Renters:
- Renter’s Liability Protection: Covers third-party damages.
- Supplemental Liability Insurance: Provides additional liability coverage.
- Personal Accident Insurance: Offers medical coverage for the renter and passengers.
8. Accident Reporting:
In case of an accident, the renter must submit an accident report and/or a police report to the rental company.
